Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 and 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves

Directions:

  1. Beat ingredients in order listed. Mix dry ingredients and add to wet ingredients. Place hot water in as last ingredient after all other ingredients added and mixed. Mix in hot water. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes . (Time is approximate)
