Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Saute peppers and onion in olive oil.
  2. Add onions and continue to cook.
  3. Once the vegetables start cooking, add garlic.
  4. Now add the thyme, basil and cayenne; then tomatoes and their juice.
  5. Cook about 10 minutes.
  6. Pour in the clam juice from the cans of clams and the tomato juice.
  7. Cook until vegetables are just cooked.
  8. Add chopped clams and pepper, if desired.
  9. Cover and simmer 10 minutes so that all the flavors meld.
