Ingredients:

  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1/2-3/4 cup sugar (depends on how sweet you like it i like it sweet)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • vanilla (optional) or nutmeg

Directions:

  1. Heat milk in the top of a double boiler until warm.
  2. Add sugar and eggs.
  3. Stir an mix well.
  4. Cook until custard thickens and coats a spoon. (It will curdle it over cooked.However if this should happen you can make it smooth again by using a rotary beater of and on again while custard cools.).
  5. Do not add any flavoring until custard is almost cool.
