Juicy Roasted Chicken

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Place chicken in a roasting pan.
  3. Season generously, inside and out with salt, pepper and onion powder.
  4. Place 3 tablespoons margarine in chicken cavity.
  5. Arrange pats of remaining margarine on chicken's exterior.
  6. Cut celery into 3 or 4 pieces and place in chicken cavity.
  7. Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour and 15 minutes OR to 180 degrees.
  8. Remove from heat.
  9. Baste with melted margarine and drippings.
  10. Cover with aluminum foil and allow to rest for 30 minutes.
  11. Carve and serve.
