Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp of water

Directions:

  1. I like to nuke the butter, add the vanilla, salt, water and wisk together.
  2. I put the sugar and flour in a large bowl and wisk.
  3. Add pecans, wisk.
  4. Add mixed butter.
  5. MIX ALL INGREDIENTS TOGETHER.
  6. I have always used my hands to mix it up, it is rather stiff.
  7. CHILL DOUGH for about 30 minutes in refrigerator.
  8. Pinch a small amount, roll and make a ball about 1 inch round in your palms.
  9. Shape it like a pecan nut by now rolling it sideways in your palms.
  10. Put on cookie sheet.
  11. BAKE IN OVEN AT 350 DEGREES FOR 14- 18 MINUTES. Remove, wait about 3 minutes and immediately roll each cookie in bowl of powdered sugar.
  12. That was I always made them in the past. Lately, I have just rolled the dough in small balls no more than 1 inch and cooked then like that. The reason is this way you can just pop the whole cookie in with biting and getting white powder sugar all over. Actually, just touching the cookie gets your fingers pretty licking good.
  13. The shape you make stays almost exactly like you shape it. It only gets a little flat on the bottom. Then don't flatten out a a wad of chocolate chip mix does.
  14. Its about 6 minutes to make the dough. Add another 20-30 to shape the cookies. I usually double or triple the recipe. You will find yourself walking by a finished plate and just keep picking them up to eat. Fall apart in your mouth, something else cookie. Dang these are good!
