Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Mix salt, 2/3 cup Crisco and 2 cups of all-purpose flour in a mixing bowl.
  2. Cut in Crisco Shortening, and mix well.
  3. Slowly add 1/3 cup water as you stir. This mixture will appear flakey as it comes together. This will be your crust.
  4. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick. Using a butter knife, cut in half.
  5. Place half in the bottom of your pie pan.
  6. Take the bottom five ingredients and mix together well.
  7. Pour into pie crust.
  8. Take the other half of your crust and cut into 1/2 inch strips.
  9. Lay these strips in a criss-cross fashion over the topping.
  10. Bake in a preheated 450 degree oven for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 300 degrees and continue cooking for another 25 minutes.
  11. Take out of oven and let stand one hour.then refrigerate.
