  1. CAKE:.
  2. Grease and flour a bundt or tube pan. Sprinkle nuts over bottom of pan.
  3. Combine remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour batter into pan.
  4. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
  5. Cool; invert onto plate.
  6. Prick holes in cake with toothpick.
  7. Drizzle glaze over top and sides, allowing it to be absorbed into cake.
  8. Continue until all glaze is used.
  9. GLAZE:.
  10. Melt butter in saucepan.
  11. Add water and sugar.
  12. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in whiskey.
  13. Cool slightly and pour over cake as directed above.
  14. Let sit at least one hour before serving.
