Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups shortening
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Directions:

  1. Oven Temp: 375°
  2. Recipe Cooking Time: 10 to 12 minutes
  3. Pan Type: cookie sheet
  4. Preheat Oven.
  5. In a large mixing bowl combine the shortening and first amount of sugar, then beat until creamy.
  6. Add the eggs, vanilla, honey, flour, baking soda and cinnamon and beat until all dry ingredients are moistened.
  7. Roll into honeysnap balls about the size of a walnut.
  8. Dip honeysnaps into second amount of sugar and place 2 inches apart onto a pan.
  9. Bake your honeysnap cookies until lightly browned.
  10. Recipe Yields: 5 dozen
