Ingredients:

  • 2 cups honey
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup lard
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp clove
  • 5 cups flour

Directions:

  1. Combine ingredients
  2. Add enough flour to make a stiff dough about 5
  3. I think 3 teaspoons- (not heaping) of the baking soda is fine.
  4. Roll 1/2 inch thick.
  5. Cut with cookie cutters then bake in moderate oven 350 degrees.
  6. No time is given, however I think start with 10 minutes until golden.
