Homemade Whipped Topping Substitute; or Dream Whip

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 2/3 cup powdered milk
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. If kitchen is warm, prechill a deep, narrow bowl and beaters.
  2. Combine above ingredients in chilled bowl.
  3. Beat with handmixer until thick and peaks form.
  4. Add 3 tbsp white sugar and 1 tsp vanilla.
  5. Beat again.
