Ingredients:

  • 3 1/2 cups gram flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar or
  • 3/4 cup syrup
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Sift flour
  2. Measure and add soda and salt
  3. Sift again
  4. Ass buttermilk to dry ingredients
  5. Beat till smooth
  6. Spread dough 1/4 inch thick on flat greased pan
  7. Bake 375 for aprox. 15 min. or untill crisp and golden brown
  8. Let cool throughly and grind in food chopper
  9. Crisp in oven if desired before serving
  10. My Amish friends make this every week
