Ingredients:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cups eggnog
  • 3/4 cup candied fruit or 3/4 cup cherries, chopped

Directions:

  1. Sift dry ingredients together including sugar.
  2. Combine eggnog, melted butter and egg.
  3. Stir into dry ingredients just to blend.
  4. Blend in nuts and fruits.
  5. Place mixture into a greased and floured 9 inch loaf pan.
  6. Bake in a preheated 350F oven about 60 to 70 minutes or tested done. Remove from pan and cool completely before slicing.
