Grandmas Old Fashioned Kuchen

Ingredients:

  • crust
  • 3 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1-2 tsp milk
  • filling
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tsp flour
  • 3 to 5 cups of your favorite berries ( i have used raspberries, blackberries , blueberries and combinations of them all), diced apples, or sliced plums

Directions:

  1. Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
  2. Add flour and enough milk to make soft dough.
  3. Roll or pat out and line 13 x 9 greased pan.
  4. Fill with you choice of fruit.
  5. Mix sour cream, sugar and eggs.
  6. Pour over fruit filling.
  7. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
  8. Bake at 350 for 1/2 hour, then reduce to 325 until set. (About another 20 -30 minutes).
  9. Serve with whipped cream, and/or dust with powdered sugar.
  10. Limit plum servings to small children! :~)
