Grandma Flossie's Orange-Kissed Christmas Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup shortening or 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp milk

Directions:

  1. Cream shortening with sugar.
  2. Add eggs, vanilla and orange zest.
  3. Alternate flour and mix into the mix until incorporated.
  4. Roll out with a lightly flour pin and cut into fun shapes.
  5. Bake at 375F for 10 - 12 minutes or until golden brown on edges.
  6. Frost with Royal Icing.
