Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp plus 1 tsp tea leaves
  • 1 quart boiling water
  • lemon slices

Directions:

  1. Place tea leaves in a 1-quart glass pitcher; slowly pour boiling water over tea leaves. Cover and steep 5 minutes.
  2. Strain and discard tea leaves. Serve hot tea in individual cups with milk, sugar, and lemon slices.
  3. Note: To prepare iced tea, let hot tea come to room temperature; chill. Serve chilled tea over crushed ice.
