Fresh Peach Ice Cream

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 1-1/2 cups milk
  • 1-1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. In a kettle of boiling water blanch peaches for 1 minute then transfer to a bowl of ice water to stop cooking.
  2. Peel and pit peaches.
  3. Puree peaches in a blender.
  4. In a large bowl stir together sugar, milk and cream stirring until sugar is dissolved then stir in puree and vanilla.
  5. Freeze mixture in an ice cream freezer according to manufacturer instructions.
