Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 tbsp instant oats
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tsp water (optional)
  • 1 tsp liquid gravy browner (optional)

Directions:

  1. Combine first 7 ingredients in large bowl until dough forms.
  2. Turn out onto lightly floured surface.
  3. Roll out to 1/4-inch thickness.
  4. Cut out with bone-shaped or dog-shaped cookie cutters.
  5. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
  6. Bake in 375 F oven for about 15 minutes.
  7. Combine second amount of water and gravy browner in small cup.
  8. Turn biscuits over.
  9. Brush with gravy browner mixture.
  10. Bake for 10 minutes until browned.
  11. Makes about 2 dozen biscuits.
