Ingredients:

  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Pretheat oven to 425.
  2. Grease a baking sheet.
  3. Heat molasses in saucepan, until it boils.
  4. Put the butter into large mixing bowl, combine hot molasses.
  5. Sift together salt, baking soda and flour .
  6. Blend in ginger.
  7. Blend mixture well.
  8. Let mixture chill in refrigerator, just until cold.
  9. Take out,roll batter very thin.
  10. Cut with cookie cutter.
  11. Using the spatula, put on baking sheet.
  12. Bake for approximately 5 minutes,or until golden.
