Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Melt 1/2 of the chocolate chips over hot, boiling water.
  2. Cream together shortening, sugar and vanilla until fluffy.
  3. Blend in melted chocolate and egg; beat well.
  4. Stir in milk.
  5. Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
  6. Blend dry ingredients into creamed mixture.
  7. Stir in remaining chocolate pieces and walnuts.
  8. Drop by teaspoonfuls, about 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheet.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees about 15 minute.
  10. Cool on wire rack.
