Diabetic Blueberry Syrup

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In saucepan, combine blueberries with 1/8 cup of water, margarine, nutmeg and lemon juice.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer til berries are soft.
  4. Dissolve cornstarch in remaining water.
  5. Add to blueberries and continue to cook, stirring constantly, until syrup thickens.
  6. Remove from heat and cool.
  7. Sir in sweetener.
  8. Serve warm or chilled.
