Ingredients:

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 can ( 14-oz ) condensed sweetened milk
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 2 cups finely chopped dates ( about a lb )
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans

Directions:

  1. In medium saucepan ... combine sugar, milk, and water
  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat..
  3. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 5 -8 minutes, stirring constantly until frosting thickens
  4. Stir in dates and pecans.
  5. Let cool some
  6. ...........................................................
  7. This will cover a 3 layer cake top sides and in between the layers.
