Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Filling:
  2. Cup dates
  3. Cup pecans or walnuts
  4. Tbsp flour
  5. Cup sugar
  6. Cup water
  7. Pinch of salt
  8. Mix the flour and sugar and cook with water until thick, then add dates and nuts. let cool
  9. Dough:
  10. Cup butter
  11. Cup flour
  12. Egg replacer for 3 eggs (extra bak soda + vinegar + yoghurt/buttermilk)
  13. Tbsp sour milk
  14. Tsp baking soda
  15. Tsp baking powder
  16. Cup brown sugar
  17. Cup white sugar.
  18. Cream the butter and sugar and beat in egg replacer and continue making dough as normal cookie dough.
  19. Roll out the dough, cut into circles, fill with filing and bake at 375 deg for 15 min or until lightly browned
  20. Variation: For filling: use nuts, 1 cup + coconut flakes + 1/2 bag choc. chips
