Ingredients:

  • 1 1/3 cup flour sifted
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup crisco
  • 3 tbsp water

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Sift flour before measuring. Combine
  2. Flour and salt in a mixing bowl. With a pastry knife or two knives cut in
  3. Crisco until uniform. The mixture should be fairly course.
  4. Sprinkle with water, a tablespoon at a time, toss with fork. Work dough
  5. Into a ball with your hands.
  6. Press dough into a flat circle with smooth edges. On a lightly floured
  7. Surface, roll the dough into a circle about 1 1/2 inches larger than an
  8. Inverted pie plate.
  9. Gently ease dough into the plate. Bake at 425 for 10 – 15 minutes or
  10. Until brown as desired.
