Directions:

  1. Pour 1 cup water over the torn up bread. Immediately squeeze as much water as you can from the bread. Put in a food processor with artichokes, anchovies and sugar. Process until a paste forms. With machine running add oil. Add lemon juice. Add 1 T at a time until mixture is creamy. Season with salt and pepper adm garnish with chives. Drizzle top with oil.
