Ingredients:

  • 1 can sweet peas
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup. evaporated milk or cream
  • 1 tbsp. chopped pimento (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 1 2 1/2 oz. can sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp. butter

Directions:

  1. Mix cornstarch, sugar, and salt with liquids.
  2. Cook until thickens.
  3. Add peas and mushrooms.
  4. Do not boil after peas have been added.
  5. Stir in butter.
  6. Sprinkle paprika on top before serving.
