Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. In large bowl, combine butter, cream cheese, egg; blend well.
  3. Add cake mix; mix until well blended.
  4. Divide dough in half.
  5. Add coloring to half of dough; blend well for even red color.
  6. For each cookie, measure 1 teaspoon white and 1 teaspoon red dough.
  7. Roll out each into 4 inch ropes.
  8. Place ropes side by side.
  9. Lightly roll together; twist.
  10. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet; shape each to resemble a candy cane.
  11. Bake at 350 for 7 to 9 minutes.
  12. Immediately remove from cookie sheets.
