Cranberry-Orange Simple Syrup

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes

Directions:

  1. Bring sugar, cranberries, orange juice, and water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Cook 2 minutes or until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, and pour through a wire-mesh strainer, pressing berries with back of a spoon. Discard solids. Stir in ice cubes; freeze 20 minutes.
