Ingredients:

  • 4 cups cranberries
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 cups sugar

Directions:

  1. Wash cranberries and pick over.
  2. Cook with 3/4 cup of the water until very soft; press through a sieve or food mill.
  3. Combine sugar and remaining water; cook for ten minutes.
  4. Add strained cranberries and cook ten minutes longer.
  5. Strain again and pour into a moistened mold; chill.
  6. When firm, unmold and serve.
