Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 3/4 cups yellow cornmeal
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 3/4 cups milk

Directions:

  1. Cream shortening and sugar.
  2. Add eggs, milk, flour, cornmeal, salt and baking powder.
  3. Bake in a greased sheet cake pan at 400^ for 20 minutes.
