Corn Fritters In Beer Batter

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup beer
  • 3/4 cup
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • dash of pepper

Directions:

  1. Mis flour, salt, sugar and baking powder. Gradually add beer, water and olive oil, then let batter rest one houir.
  2. Beat egg whites stiffly and add to batter with corn and pepper. Drop by spoonfuls onto 1/2 hot oil in frying pan. Fry until golden on both sides. Drain on paper towels.
