Cinnamon Sour Cream Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp white sugar
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 2 tsp additional milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450.
  2. In a large mixing bowl combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, soda and salt.
  3. Cut in margarine then make a well in center.
  4. Add sour cream, 2 tablespoons milk and raisins stirring until just combined.
  5. On floured surface gently knead 8-10 stokes then pat dough to 1/2 thickness.
  6. Cut with biscuit cutter dipping in flour between cuts.
  7. Place on baking sheet and bake at 450 for 12 minutes.
  8. Cool slightly on wire racks.
  9. Stir together confectioners' sugar and 2 teaspoons milk then drizzle over biscuits.
  10. Sprinkle with additional cinnamon and sugar if desired.
