Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Lightly grease cookie sheets.
  3. In large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar for about two minutes.
  4. Add extracts, flour, salt, cocoa, and almonds.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Dough will be stiff.
  7. To shape cookies, take a golf ball piece of dough and place a cherry in the center.
  8. Shape the dough so that the cherry is completely surrounded and the dough is round in shape.
  9. Place on cookie sheet about 1 1/2 inches apart.
  10. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until firm to touch.
  11. While still hot, roll in powdered sugar.
  12. Place on wire racks to cool.
