Chocolate-Drenched Chipotle Nuts

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Combine first 4 ingredients in a skillet.
  2. Cook over medium heat until it comes to a boil.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in butter.
  4. Add nuts and stir to coat evenly.
  5. Spoon onto parchment lined baking sheets in a single layer.
  6. Bake 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minute.
  7. Spread onto wax paper to cool, break apart large clumps.
  8. Melt shortening and semisweet chocolate in small saucepan over low heat.
  9. Remove from heat and cool slightly
  10. Toss nuts until well coated and return to wax paper to harden.
  11. Drizzle with white chocolate.
  12. Let harden and they are ready to eat or bag for gifts.
