Ingredients:

  1. In a saucepan combine the fresh water, dry onion, dry celery, soy sauce, bouillon cubes, pepper and garlic powder.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer for about 10 minutes, to blend the flavors.
  3. Stir in the drained vegetables and the undrained chicken. Return the mixture to a boil.
  4. Meanwhile, dissolve the cornstarch in the cool water. Stir with a fork until it is smooth. Add this to the pot on the stove.
  5. Stir and allow the mixture to boil for a full minute. Serve hot over rice or chow mein noodles, or both.
