Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Brown ground beef in skillet, add to slow cooker or big pot.
  2. In same skillet brown sausage links, slice and add to pot.
  3. If needed, add oil to skillet and brown the onions, add garlic and mushrooms,
  4. When brown, add oregano, thyme or italian seasoning and salt and pepper.
  5. Saute for one minute and add to pot.
  6. Add prepared sauce, tomatoes, paste and sugar to pot.
  7. Cook in slow cooker on low for 6 hours or on stovetop or in slowcooker on high for 2 hours.
  8. Toward the end of the cooking, add basil.
  9. Serve over pasta.
  10. Goes great with Garlic Bubble Bread, Garlic Bubble Bread.
