Ingredients:

  • 1 small bag of caramels
  • 1/2 stick of butter divided
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp, nut meg
  • 1/2 cup. confectioner's sugar
  • 1/2 cup. crushed pecans
  • 1/2 cup. crushed walnuts

Directions:

  1. Core apples and cut into bite-sized chunks. Set aside.
  2. In medium saucepan, combine caramels, milk 1/2 of the butter
  3. Stir until caramels are melted and saucy.
  4. In small pan, melt the rest of butter, and toss in the nuts, just until tender (about 3 minutes)
  5. Drain on paper towel, then toss nuts with sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well coated.
  6. In a square baking dish sprayed with cooking spray put in apples and nuts.
  7. Pour caramel sauce over the mixture.Bake in oven at 350 degrees until apples are just tender, (about 15-20 m)
  8. Cool for about five minutes. Top with whip cream, and a little sprinke of cinnamon.
  9. I usually serve this in those little dessert dishes, so the servings may vary. .
