Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Cream butter in a large mixing bowl; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk, vanilla, and salt; beat well. Stir in flour. Chill at least 1 hour.
  2. Press dough from cookie press onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove cookies to wire racks to cool.
