  1. Combine ricotta, sugar, vanilla and creme de cocoa.
  2. Beat at medium speed for about 10 minutes, until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in candied fruit and chocolate bits.
  4. Line the sides and bottom of a 10 spring form pan with lady fingers.
  5. Pour about 1/3 of the ricotta mixture over lady fingers and repeat layer, ending with lady fingers, making a pinwheel design.
  6. Refrigerate at least four hours or overnight.
  7. Decorate with cherries.
