Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp water
  • 40 to 50 edible blossoms or flower petals of your choice, such as pansies
  • 1 1/4 cups superfine sugar
  • meringue powder is available wherever you find wilton industries supplies. here in south carolina, i get it at hobby lobby.
  • be sure the flowers are edible and haven'tsp been treated with chemicals

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve meringue powder in water.
  2. Lightly brush over all sides of the flowers, to coat completely.
  3. Sprinkle with sugar.
  4. Let dry on a waxed paper-lined baking sheet for 1 to 2 days.
  5. Yield: 40 to 50 candied flowers.
