Ingredients:

  • 30 medium sized cucumbers (same diameter)
  • 8 medium sized onions
  • 2 large green peppers
  • 1/2 cup of salt
  • 5 cups of white vinegar
  • 5 cups of white sugar
  • 2 tbsp of mustard seed
  • 1 tsp of tumeric
  • 1 tsp of whole cloves

Directions:

  1. Slice cucumbers, onions and peppers.
  2. Dissolve salt in ice water.
  3. Pour over vegetable and let stand for three hours.
  4. Drain.
  5. Combine sugar, vinegar, water and spices. Bring up to a boil, but do not boil.
  6. Pack the vegetables in the jars.
  7. Add brining liquid.
  8. Seal and process following canning instructions included with your jars.
