Bourbon-Butter Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/3 cup bourbon

Directions:

  1. Melt butter in a double boiler over simmering water.
  2. Add powdered sugar and salt and whisk until sugar is incorporated and sauce is smooth.
  3. Whisk in vanilla and bourbon.
  4. Immediately add the egg yolk and stir until well blended.
  5. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, until sauce heats through and thickens slightly.
  6. Serve immediately.
