Boiled Raisin Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups raisins
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp clove
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

Directions:

  1. Boil raisins in water for 5 minutes.
  2. Add 1 tsp baking soda.
  3. Cream margarine and sugar, beat in eggs and vanilla.
  4. Add raisin mixture.
  5. Mix dry ingredients, and combine with raisin mixture.
  6. Drop from a spoon onto greased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake 350 10-12 minutes.
