Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease two 8-by-4-inch loaf pans.
  3. In large bowl, with electric mixer at medium speed, cream butter, sugar, eggs, and orange peel until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in mashed bananas.
  5. On waxed paper, combine flour, baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  6. At low speed, gradually add flour mixture, then buttermilk; beat just until smooth.
  7. Stir in nuts and chocolate.
  8. Evenly spoon into prepared pans.
  9. Bake 1 hour, or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
