Barberry Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cold water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 cups barberries

Directions:

  1. Place water, orange rind and sugar into a saucepan.
  2. Mix well and cook over a medium heat for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the washed and stemmed ripe berries.
  4. Cook till the berries begin to pop.
  5. When all the berries have popped, place the sauce in a bowl and chill in the refrigerator.
  6. Serve chilled.
