Apricot Crescent Rolls for OAMC

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup soft butter
  • 1 (6 oz) package softened cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup sifted flour
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp cold water
  • 1/2 cup apricot preserves (2 tbsp per crescent)
  • confectioners' sugar , to taste

Directions:

  1. Cut together butter and cream cheese.
  2. Mix into the butter mix the flour, salt and water.
  3. Mix with fork until well blended.
  4. Chill at least 1 hour.
  5. Roll into thin rectangle on a well-floured board.
  6. Cut into 30 2 1/2 X 3 rectangles.
  7. Spread each piece with 2 tbsp apricot preserves.
  8. Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
  9. Roll up from one corner and bend ends to form crescents.
  10. Put folded side down on cookie sheet and bake at 450°F for 10 minutes.
  11. When cool, sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
  12. Freeze.
  13. Thaw in about 15 minutes.
