Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 cups peeled apples , slices
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Cream matgarine, 3 4 cup granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add combined flour, baking powder, salt, and apple pie spice alternately with milk; mix well after each addition. Pour into greased 13x9-inch baking pan. Arrange apples on top of batter. Sprinkle with combined 1/4 cup granulated sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 375 F, 40 to 45 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
