  2. Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan. In a large bowl, cream the margarine with 2 cups of sugar until light and fluffy. Beat

  5. In a medium bowl, stir together the apples and the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar. Fold into the batter and spoon half of the batter into the pan. Smooth with a spatula.
  6. In a medium bowl, mix the brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Sprinkle over the batter. Spoon the other half of the batter on top and smooth with spatula.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 70 minutes.
  8. Cool and remove from the pan
