Apple Butterscotch Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups biscuit mix
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup applesauce

Directions:

  1. Stir together biscuit mix, oats, sugar, salt and baking powder. Add butterscotch pieces, raisins, and cuts. Combine egg and milk; stir.
  2. Add applesauce; beat mixture vigorously by hand for 30 seconds.
  3. Spoon into large greased and floured loaf pan.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 50 to 60 minutes. Cool before slicing.
