  1. In a saucepan combine butter, cream, and cream cheese.
  2. Simmer until all is melted and mixed well.
  3. Add the Parmesan cheese and garlic powder.
  4. Simmer for 15 - 20 minutes on low.
  5. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  6. Half-and-half cream can be substituted for whipping (heavy) cream if desired, however, milk is not recommended.
