Ingredients:

  • 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups shortening
  • 1 cup plus 2 tbsp water

Directions:

  1. Combine flour and salt in a mixing bowl; cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle water evenly over flour mixture, 1 tablespoon at a time, and stir with a fork until all ingredients are moistened. Shape dough into a ball; chill.
